A Working Archive of Investment Scams

Search our archive to see if a trading or investment website has already been flagged as a scam.

Signs a site is a scam

  • The website promises guaranteed returns with no risk involved.
  • You cannot withdraw your money without paying an unexpected fee.
  • The broker has no verifiable licence from a recognised financial regulator.
  • Contact details lead to generic email forms with no physical address listed.

Why this archive exists

Fraudulent investment websites appear and disappear quickly. By the time a warning reaches official channels, the site has often moved to a new address. This archive collects reports as they come in and publishes them so you can search a website before you send any money. The more people report, the more useful it becomes.

Types of scam we cover

Fake brokers

These sites present themselves as regulated trading platforms for forex, stocks, or commodities. They accept deposits and may even show you a convincing account dashboard with growing balances. When you try to withdraw, they stall, invent new conditions, or simply stop responding. Most are registered in jurisdictions with little or no financial oversight.

Crypto platforms

Bogus crypto exchanges and investment pools ask you to sign up and deposit funds in Bitcoin or other currencies. The site looks professional and may quote real market prices to appear legitimate. Withdrawals are blocked behind endless verification steps or surprise tax payments. The platform often vanishes entirely once enough money has been deposited.

Most victims realise something is wrong only when they try to withdraw funds, by which point the site has collected far more than the first deposit.
